March, and again periodically until March 2027.  This will be a re-
curring activation based on his business travels.  He will  operate
CW, SSB and FT8 (F/H) on 40-10 metres.  QSL via M0OXO's OQRS;  QSOs

5W     - Jacek, SP5EAQ had announced he would be active from  Samoa  from 22
March to 11 April [425DXN 1815]. He was set to fly via Doha (Qatar)
and Brisbane,  ultimately arriving in  Apia  to begin operating  as
5W0AF. However, the geopolitical situation has shifted significant-
ly since the initial planning.  With the airspace of several  coun-
tries  (including Qatar)  currently closed,  the stability  of  the
region remains uncertain even if routes were to reopen shortly.
Consequently, Jacek has determined that the only viable solution is
to re-route and postpone the DXpedition - likely until autumn. This
will involve  purchasing  new tickets  that avoid  the  Middle East
         entirely.

this time he'll be confirming the QSOs via an e-QSL sent by email.

3Y0/B  - The 3Y0K team departed Cape Town  on 21 February aboard the  Argus,
and arrived at Bouvet  on 27 February  at around 08:30 UTC  after a
         somewhat bumpy voyage.
"The weather and sea state is still not favourable for us  to start
going onshore today", the team reports.  "During our daily  meeting
today with the captain,  pilots  and expedition crew,  we discussed
         the weather forecast.
During the last  few days,  we have stayed in an area  with adverse
weather and  waves up to 8-10 meters,  which is the reason  for  us
slowing down  the speed.  The vessel is handling the sea  very well
and we are all satisfied with that.
We are now currently looking into a  weather window on Saturday and
Sunday, and as long as the conditions don't change, it is likely we
will make an effort to go onshore this weekend. The pilots and crew
are ready and confident in the machine,  and we will now start  our
         final preparations.
At this stage  we cannot tell  when we will be on the air. The main
priority is to focus on the  upcoming weather windows, get the gear
and people onto the island and  secure the camp with tents and pro-
visions - before the  radio/antenna installation starts.  Our pilot
James, KB2FMH will inform when we are QRV".
5N     - Bodo, DF8DX  will be working at the  Voice of Nigeria  broadcasting
station in Abuja, Nigeria, on 1-10 March. In his spare time he will
be active as 5N7QBR on 80-10 metres CW, SSB, and FT8. He might also

 [NEWS UPDATE] –
Final preparations are now being made for the Desecheo DXpedition 2026, and the team is hard at work at the home of Ken KP4AA, completing last-minute work ahead of deployment.
Tomorrow — Monday, January 12, 2026 — the team departs for Desecheo Island.

Antennas and station equipment are being tuned, tested, and finalized. The power system has also received a major upgrade. The number of solar panels has been increased from eight to twelve, and new support legs are being added to the arrays to provide better orientation toward the sun. This will significantly improve battery charging capability and overall station reliability once the systems are deployed on the island.
