この「総員玉砕せよ!」という物語は、90パーセントは事実です。
・・・物語では全員死にますが、実際は80人近く近く生き残ります。
だいたい同じ島で「オレたちあとで死ぬから、お前たち先に死ね」といわれても、なかなか死ねるものではありません。
「玉砕」というのは、どこでもそうですが、必ず生き残りがいます。
・・・ラバウルの場合、後方に十万の兵隊が、ぬくぬくと生活しているのに、その前線で五百人の兵隊に死ねといわれても、とても兵隊全体の同意は得られるものではない。
・・・兵隊全体の暗黙の同意なしにただ命令というだけでは、玉砕は成立しないと僕は思う。
・・・軍隊で兵隊というのは”人間”ではなく馬以下の生物と思われていたから、ぼくは、玉砕で生き残るというのは卑怯ではなく”人間”として最後の抵抗ではなかったかと思う。
・・・ぼくは戦記物をかくとわけのわからない怒りがこみ上げてきて仕方がない。
多分戦死者の霊がそうさせるのではないかと思う。

私の職場では、お盆から約1週間の「盛夏休暇」という制度がある。
その間しばらくは平日の朝も無線機の前に座ることができそうだ。
ここ数日、朝6時前後から無線機の前に座るが、DXの信号はあまり強く聞こえてこない。
バンドがオープンする時間も短い感じがする。

         Tanzania on 12-24 August.  He will operate FT8/FT4, CW and some SSB

5H     - Chas, NK8O will be active again as  5H3DX  from Tanzania between 31
         August and 21 September. He plans to operate CW and FT8/FT4  on 30-
         10 metres in his limited spare time. QSL via LoTW, eQSL,  or direct

OH0  - Team OG0C  (OH2JIU, OH5CW, OH5CY, OH5CZ, OH5YL, and maybe others)
         will be active  again  from  the  Aland Islands (EU-002)  on  17-24
         August. Operating from grid square KO09, they will be QRV from 160m
         to 70cm CW, SSB, FT8, FT4, RTTY, MSK144 and JT65.  They  will  also
         give 50 MHz EME a try. QSL via OH5CW (direct) and LoTW.
OJ0    - Markus, OH1MN will be active as OJ0MN from Market Reef (EU-053)  on
         25-30 August.  He will operate SSB, CW and digital modes  on the HF
         bands, 6 and 4 metres. QSL via OH1MN; QSOs will be uploaded to Club
         Log.
OX     - "Due to unexpected illness",  Markus, DL6YYM  has had to cancel his
         trip to Greenland. He was expected to be QRV as OX/DL6YYM on 15-29
         August [425DXN 1788].
5H     - Andy, 5Z4VJ will be active as 5H1VJ from  Zanzibar Island (AF-032),
         Tanzania   on  24-28 July,  including  participation  in  the  IOTA
         Contest. QSL via LoTW and M0URX's OQRS.
4U1ITU - 4U0ITU is the callsign for the  International Amateur Radio Club at
         ITU HQ in Geneva to use  from 16 May through the end of the year in
         celebration of the 160th anniversary of the  International Telecom-
         munication Union. QSL via LoTW, Club Log's OQRS, or direct to IARC,
         P.O. Box 6, 1211 Geneva 20, Switzerland.
HP     - H82AT is the special callsign for Jose, HP2AT to celebrate his 35th
         anniversary in  amateur radio from  1 May through 31 December.  All
         QSOs will be uploaded to QRZ, Club Log, eQSL, and LoTW. Paper cards
         will not be available.

AFRICA TRIP ---> Antonio, IK7WUL  is going on a humanitarian mission trip to
Africa; in his  spare time he will be QRV  -  most likely on 10 metres SSB -
as  9U0DX from Burundi (2-10 August)  and  9X0DX from Rwanda (10-18 August).
Between  18 August and 7 September  he will  be active as  TY2AA from Benin,

やなせたかしは、本当に多彩な人だったようだ。

仕事が忙しく近頃無線の時間があまり取れていない。
今日からお盆休みなので、朝早起きして仕事に行く時間にシャックに入った。

CE0Y   - Cesar, CE7TI will be active as 3G0YT from Easter Island (SA-001) on
         12-15 August.  He will operate QRP,  mostly on 20 and 10 metres SSB

OX     - Markus, DL6YYM will be active holiday style as OX/DL6YYM from Disko
         Bay, Greenland during the second half of August. On 15-18 August he
         will be QRV from IOTA group NA-134,  while on  19-29 August he will
         be located on the main island (NA-018).  He operates CW only and is
         a QRP enthusiast. QSL via home call (direct or bureau) and eQSL.
TA     - TC88YL is the special callsign for the  TA-YL Event  that will take
         place from the TC2E contest station on  16-17 August.  Organized by
         Merzuke,  TA7YLY,  the event  will see  "six female  amateur  radio
         operators  actively working on CW, FT8, SSB,  and the QO-100 satel-
         lite". QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW, eQSL and Club Log. A certifi-
         cate will be available on https://tadx.org/awards.
TG     - Dennis, KT8X will be active as TG4/KT8X from Guatemala on 16-23
         August.  He will operate CW and digital modes on 40-6 metres.  QSL

GM    - Look for MM/DJ7TO, MM/DJ9RR, MM/DL1KWK, MM/DL1RTL, MM/DL4SVA,
         MM/DL5KUA and MM/OE8TIR to operate on the HF bands and via QO-100
         satellite from the Shetland Islands (EU-012) on 4-14 August. During
         the CW leg of the WAE DX Contest (9-10 August) they will be signing
         GM4S (QSL via LoTW and Club Log's OQRS). [TNX DX World]
KH9    - "I will be going to  Wake Island  for a couple of weeks and will be
         taking a station with me", Jim, K9HEI says.  "I'm only scheduled to
         work 40 hours a week,  so I should get some time to get on the air.
         I will try to get on the air as much as I can". Expect KH9/K9HEI to
         operate FT8 and SSB between 8 and 22 August.  QSOs will be uploaded
         to LoTW and QRZ Logbook.
VK9L   - Janusz, SP9FIH will be active as  VK2/SP9FIH from  Lord Howe Island
         (OC-004) from  27 August to 13 September.  Plans are to operate SSB
         and FT8 (FH/SF) on  30, 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10 metres.  QSL via Club
         Log's OQRS (direct requests for QSL will be uploaded to LoTW within
         few days,  bureau requests will be uploaded  after 12 months).  See

         Reminder:  according  to the  Australian Communications  and  Media
         Authority's updated "Amateur Radio Call Sign Policy" [425DXN 1723],
         VK9 prefixed callsigns can be used  only by operators located in an
         Australian External Territory  other than the Antarctic.  Lord Howe
         Island is part of New South Wales, hence the use of VK2/homecall.
XE     - Once again special callsign 4A2MAX will be activated on 1-31 August
         in remembrance of  St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe.  Activity will be on
         80-6 metres SSB, CW and digital modes.  Born in 1894,  Father Kolbe
         (SP3RN) was killed on  14 August 1941  at Auschwitz.  QSL via LoTW,

E5_sc  - Steve, ZL2KE will be active again as E51KEE from Rarotonga (OC-013)
         South Cook Islands on 3-18 August.  He will operate CW and some SSB

         will be uploaded to Club Log and LoTW.
